Cave of the Chinese literature lover

Grassroots Book Room(草根書室)was one of my mother's obsessions for some time. One day she brought me along, and I could see why it was such a peaceful respite where she could spend hours patiently scouring for a good book to bring home or two, or five.

Warmth filled the little bookshop. Its shelves were simple, and not too fussed with neatness. Hints of vintage items and friendly potted plants were around, but the clean, black-framed glass panels rounded up the atmosphere with a modern Chinese style of minimalism. It was like releasing a sigh and sinking into comfort.

The cutest corner with a sweet red typewriter. I loved how the books looked just a little casually untidy, but fit themselves perfectly in their treasure trove.

Reading spot with some leafy greens and an old-style woven chair. A shot from the top shows the circular coherence of the chair and coffee tables!

From another reading area some distance away, I put Mum in the background but kept her in focus. Looks like she's found a good one here!
